General Appearance. Moriya Kusanagi, one of the last descendants of Orochi's bloodline, had medium length, chestnut brown hair, fair skin, wore glasses, and had a respectable physique. His nails were sharp, almost like claws, but they were hidden by his gloves; only to be revealed in battle.
His clothes were usually full black and leather, mostly seen wearing a black, knee-length coat over a tight black leather shirt. He even wore black shoes, at that. His hand-gloves were a dull white. And his ninja headband? His village symbol was carved upon the center of his belt.
On most occasions, Moriya would be seen walking calmly and peacefully, stiff and straight. Occasionally he would stroke his hair, or keep his hands pocketed, or in rare occasions, fold his arms together, when he felt disturbed. During violent occasions, he would run like a beast, a wolf, except with two legs, not four. His arms would jerk vehemently forwards and backwards in sync with his legs; he was quite fast, and strong. No matter what, he would always keep a black coat over him, making his opponent's feel as if the grimreaper was about to condemn his soul, as the coat flew backwards due to his swift running. His claws, which are revealed only in battle, adds to the effect of traumatizing fear.
While sitting, he would usually relax, keeping his legs spread apart, arms behind back; unless the current situation involved people of high rank. Then, he would be as stiff and formal as a stuck-up nobleman. A bad habit of his while sitting down, was to frequently nudge his glasses up his face; it was rather odd since he hadn't been seen doing this while standing.
Moriya was a light sleeper; awoken by the slightest of sounds. When he is sleepnig, it is hard to deduct his true identity, as a mass murderer; every seven years. He never took too long in the bathroom; nor did he take that long to eat. One great weakness of his was to fall asleep very soon after lying down on a comfortable surface, in spite of the fact that he would be awoken quite easily.
A whole other sight of him came when he let his bloodlust take over him, in other words, when he would go into "Orochi" mode. Hie claws would litereally fip out of the finger-tips of his gloves. His face would look horrid, crazy. He would also lose his glasses. The blood within him would boil, allowing him to access a secondary stage of his purple flames. The heat inside him would let him emit fumes from his nose with each breath; his eyes would turn pitch black. His movements would also look beastly; much faster than before, and his strength would rise proportionately.
Personality: Moriya, cursed with tainted blood as he was, did his best to try and keep this a secret. Since no one knew of his clan, it was rather helpful. He was usually cheerful, nice, and peaceful, a nice person to be with when you feel depressed or such. He was a great teacher, who had gained a very positive reputation in Konoha. When talking to elder men and women, he tried to be as polite and formal as possible. To children; he was one of the most fun people to hang out with, although he disliked physical activity, lest his bloodlust rose up suddenly.
Around the cheerful atittude that he pertained, he also had a serious, clever, solemn side. He was reputed as a good battle-tactician, and an amazing killer; people admired his purple flames, which were so unique and powerful; flames which also made Moriya proud. During serious conversations, he usually came up with well though out, witty answers. The same came for when he was in a debate, he would not fail to prove his point that easily, not without a fight... word fight. In the midst of battle itself, he let his bloodlust take over, which was a whole new kind of personality...
When his thirst for blood became greatest, Moriya was a whole new man. Unlike the neat look that he would have normally, he would look much older, and much more demonic. He would lose his sense of humanity; and would do anything to see more blood spill. He wouldn't care about right or wrong; good or bad. All he would want is death. His sense of duty would leave him; but he would let his dark side take over on purpose. This form was much more adept for battle than himself, although without this transofrmation, Moriya was still quite strong.
While talking to men or women, his atittude remained indifferent, he treated both genders as equals, just like how he treated both the old and young as equals. He would try to get on good terms with everyone; evil and good. Which is why he acts friendly with men, and tries to flatter women, for the best results. He also tries to be playful with young children, respectable to old men, and always whipped up a conversation that would interest his talk-mate.
Other: No-brainer: The above descriptions would be completely different if he was to enter his demonic form, "Orochi" mode, that is.

Moriya Kusanagi was born as the eldest child, of this generation of people who had the blood of Orochi within them. Along with his two younger siblings, he was raised by his mother and father, in Konohagakure. They were treated like any average family; no one knew of their deep dark secret. They lived an average life, rather well compared to most other ninja; his father was the original "Purple Haze" of Konoha. This naturally brought fame and recognition to the family, meaning that the three Orochi siblings had a rather well life.
Moriya, and his siblings, were all trained in ninja arts together. They trained under the same sensei, in the same squad. Their sensei wasn't their father, though. But soon came the time that his father realized, that the Riot of Blood was nearing. His father and mother had both learned to control their bloodlust; of course, after killing hundreds of thousand of men and women. But the children, still ages five and learning ninja arts, what would they do? Sure, their physical and mental prowess was very low, meaning they wouldn't be of much harm, but... the power of Orochi couldn't be underestimated.
The two younger children were put under the care of Moriya's mother in Konoha. She took them to who knows where.. just to protect the village. Moriya, being the strongest and most capable to kill, was stolen away by his father to a desolate little opening in the trees, a "field trip" with his father. They waited until nightfall came; when in the eyes of all Kusanagi clan members, came the view of the blood-red moon. That night, Moriya's thirst for blood was finally unleashed. His father being the first person in his sight, he began savagely attacking him. What was surprising was the fact that in his Orochi state, Moriya already had the capability to use purple flames, and his taijutsu and ninjutsu were amazingly high-leveled, as if a whole new soul had entered his body. Nevertheless, his father managed to survive through the 24 hours, running through the forest, occasionally sparring his son. This continued until the 24 hours was finally over...
His father was wounded, but not that much. He was truly a remarkable ninja of Konoha. All was well, except for the fact that... they had gone far past the Valley of the End. Where were they...? They couldn't find their way back...
With no word of their other family members, Moriya and his father began to seek out the lost tablet of Orochi, where the beast himself was sealed. They didn't know why, but they just felt like going there. Moriya refused to sleep; all he did was stare at the moon, always thinking that he would see the blood red moon once again, and maybe, just maybe, kill his father. A few days after Moriya's insomnia, his father decided to make him train throughout night, and travel at day. Pretty soon Moriya would get tired, and fall asleep. Maybe he didn't get as much sleep as before, but at least he had his rest. Or so his father thought...
Every night, Moriya dreamt of the serpent, Yamata no Orochi, in his notorious glory in the past. How he used to massacre people every single day. He wasn't intrigued by the sheer power of Orochi; what Moriya thought, was the power that he had himself. The power that would be released every seven years. The spirit of Orochi which made him crave for blood. If that power would eventually make him kill all the villagers of Konoha... he wanted to die.
His father caught him while Moriya had tried to stab himself with a kunai. During the whole of the afternoon, his father convinced him that his power was nothing to be afraid of. He used himself as an example, showing his son that the dreaded power of Orochi could be put to good use. Then, he promised Moriya that when he died, his eldest son would be the next Purple Haze. With many words of encouragement, Moriya doubtfully continued on his quest to the stone tablet.
Just for a side note, Moriya was yet to be considered a ninja. He was an academy student when his father took him away for hiding. He had travelled for long with his father, and mastered a lot of ninja arts. He had also discovered that he had an elemental affinity torwards fire. Not Orochi's fire, just plain fire. Noticing this fact, his father began thinking to himself, for a whole night. Chances were, everyone in the village thought that he was dead. He didn't know what happened to the rest of his children and his wife. Then he came to a conclusion that Moriya had to earn his ninja headband. Only if...
A whole year passed as they travelled to the Stone Tablet. Moriya got a lot stronger; by this time he would truly earn his title as genin. His father decided to hold a ceremony, a short one, on a conviniently placed stone table, surrounded by eight stones, runes were inscribed upon them. He made Moriya stand upon the table, and gave him his own ninja headband. Purple Haze was officially retired, his legacy would be coninued by his son. As a new ninja was crowned on the table, and another ninja retired, the scriptures upon those eight rocks began glowing. A huge, bright violet light flashed into the air...
... Glasses. The first thing Moriya needed was glasses. Something had made his memories go blank, and caused his eyesight to slowly diminish. Then everything blacked out all over again...
When he awoke, he found himself lying on a bed, with a comfortable blanket over him. He had a nifty pair of glasses on his face; how did that come there? When he decided to get up, he found a sound village headband lying on a table. So that was where he was; the Hidden Sound Village. His father's headband was... lost. Wait... his father's headband?
His memories slowly came back to him, but not completely. All he knew was that his father gave him a headband. But where was it!? And more importantly... where was his father? Where was his village? Where was... he? How did he know the spot where he was just by looking at a headband?
... Third black-out.
As months flew by, Moriya was raised by Sound ninja. They realized that he had no power over instruments, or wind, so he was the strangest sound ninja ever. He was adopted by someone who was not a ninja of sound... that explained it to them. He was trained by a new sensei, the most rejected ninja of Sound, who hadn't the ability to play instruments either. But under that sensei, Moriya learned how to use his katon-powers more efficiently. Years passed by, with Moriya's intense training. When the other Sound jonin saw Moriya beat his sensei in a friendly spar, they readily volunteered him to participate in the chuunin exams.
Moriya had no teammates, so his progress was rather slow. He hadn't much knowledge as well, so he had much difficulty through the intelligence tests. Fortunately, a female ninja right beside him actually let him look at her paper. Through his glasses, he contracted his eyes to slits; successfully passing the exam; not after thanking the girl heartily, though.
The second stage of the exams were less eventful; just make your way to the examiner at the end of the forest. Since Moriya had spent over a year of his life travelling through forests, he amazed everyone as he reached the examiner first, thirty minutes before the second genin to arrive.
He became the envy of many genin, and the pride of Sound, high expectations awaited him during the final stage of the chuunin exams, the battle round. A simple face-off of all genin participating in the exams. With high hopes, he was sent to battle a number of enemy ninja. In the semi-finals, he fought that same girl who had helped him in the written exams. His felt rather sympathetic for her; but as he was about to surrender himself, the girl surrendered first. Why...?
Moriya lost in the finals however, he was terribly matched against a Suiton user. With that being done, the judges chose the genin worthy of being chuunin. Out of them, Moriya had succcessfully become a chuunin the Village Hidden in the Sound. To his great relief, so did the girl. And a number of other ninja as well... Ironically, the person who actually beat him in the finals was disqualified for using illegal pills to give himself an unfair advantage during the tournament.
And with that, the new chuunin began his new ninja life. That particular girl kept visiting him, all they would do is talk. In one spar they had, Moriya lost on purpose, just... wait. Why lose on purpose?...
He performed several missions for the village; he didn't feel any different when he visited Konoha. His past had been wiped out... Or was it?
One night, that girl came to visit him at home. She wanted to take him somewhere, in the shimmering moonlight. They ran, across grassy plains, and finally stoped near a lake formed at the base of a waterfall. Over there, the girl showed Moriya the beautiful full moon just suspended in space...
...!?
Seven years ago... Moriya was fourteen years old now. Seven years ago... blood. And... his father? Lots of trees... purple flames...
The rest of his memories shot through his head. He wasn't a ninja of Sound; he was born and raised in Konoha! With his parents, and two siblings! He had been taken away from his village, in fear of his... power. His father...? Where was his father? Shame filled his mind, as he realized that he hadn't even thought about his father for the past few years in Sound. And all this, while he was staring at the white full moon. The girl shook him out of his trance, and his ninja-way got the better of him. If he was truly capable of killing so much...
The next day, he began researching Yamata no Orochi. How to use his powers... purple flames... when the next Riot of Blood would be... everything, including it's latest descendants.
The next Riot of Blood was exactly three days from then. And Moriya thought he saw a dangerous S-ranked mission that involved killing a whole village of outlaws... perfect.
He accepted that mission bluntly. During sunset, Moriya made his way to the village. That girl followed him secretly, without his knowledge; she was concerned about his well-being. Seriously, wiping out a whole village...?
The blood-red moon flashed in the air. Moriya's more mature body grew out to be the demon that all member's of his clan became. He murdered people, bandits, men, children, ruthlessly, ripping out throats with particular pleasure; more blood...
The whole village was wiped out in a matter of hours. And the girl? She... was one of his many victims. Over ten thousand bloody carcasses lay upon the ground. The whole village was burning in bright purple flames. With nothing else in sight... Moriya reverted back to his original self. He felt nausous at all the blood, and fell faint, unconscious...
A messenger ninja retrived his body, a ninja that was sent to see his report for the mission. He gave back the report to the kage, that the whole village was no longer existant. Moriya slowly arose from his slumber, on a table, in the presence of the kage. The kage then announced him a Jonin of the Village Hidden in the Sound...
But Moriya? No. He refused the position. He threw down his headband, and burned it. The sound ninja were speechless, as the prodigy left the village; a missing ninja.
Why? He hadn't left the village for any negative reason. His blood within him was boiling, aching for more blood. He hadn't left the village in disgrace, he left for his love for the village. And his love for the girl... who was now dead. Where was he going? The Stone Tablet... unlock his Orochi powers for good, that's what he seeked. Unlock them... or seal them for eternity.
But he found much more than just that. As he recalled, the tablet had eight runed rocks; there was now five. The scriptures on the remaining runes glowed bright. Moriya read them through; then realized that for every new Kusanagi that was born, one rune would be destroyed. This would go on until all the runes were demolished, and then the Stone Tablet would crack; Yamata no Orochi would rise once again. His father's headband was lying upon the Stone Tablet. Now he realized his true purpose...
But he wouldn't; he wouldn't see to the destruction that Orochi caused. He would do whatever he could to avoid it. With that vow, upon the seal of Orochi, he took up his father's rusted headband, and made his way to Konoha.
The journey was a long one; took another year justto make it. And his food? Animals that roamed around the land... his thirst for blood was endless now. What would happen if he made it to Konoha...
Regardless, he returned to his birthplace, a ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village. At first, no one recognized him at all. None of the elderly ninjas, senior villagers; no one. For this, he wasn't considered a ninja of the village. But the Hokage saw his Village Headband. The Hokage was the only one who knew of their clan's secret, and took Moriya away to his office to tell him of what had happened over the years...
When the Riot of Blood came, his mother was still in the village. As his father left, his mother had befallen a great illness, a major fever. With nothing to do, her children began trying to take care of her, not knowing that staying near her would only mean that she would die at their own hands. And indeed, that bloody night, while the younger sibling was getting the groceries, the other sibling murdered their mother. In the meantime, all the shopkeepers were a bloody mess, and the two Orochi siblings began roaming the village for more death, more blood. The Hokage had to subdue them himself, but their power was limitless. For 24 hours, the Hokage had to fight them. And then, they finally calmed down...
They were banished from the village. No one knew where they were, but all of the elder council decided that they were unfit for the village. But the Hokage realized that Moriya was much more mature as a Kusanagi clan member, albeit bloodthirsty. He could control his bloodlust, although it needed some practice. So he was introduced to the village, as Purple Haze; Purple Haze had returned!
Ever since then, Moriya began training and doing missions and duties for the Hokage for years. He had joined and ANBu squad, left it, joined another one, and then gained leadership of it, which he prompty sacrificed for the sake of his training. He mastered all of the jutsu that his father had left as a memorial in his personal files. He considered himself the last member of Orochi, and with that would he die; the terror Yamata no Orochi would never be relived.
Now, Moriya Kusanagi is twenty years old. He is a well-respected, well-loved member of Konoha. And with that starts the next arc of his ninja life... First Head of Orochi!

Once it makes contact with anything, the fire bursts out of the user's arm, and slams into the enemy in a drill-shaped flame.

With the user's arm firmly placed on the enemy's face, the user uses both hands to pull the enemyinto the air. Then, the user creates a huge pillar of Orochi's purple flames, and his/her fire chakra, directly under the opponent, incinerating the opponent in the dual flames, while clutching the enemy's face with his/her sharp claws. This jutsu usually leaves the user fatally wounded by recoil damage.
