Yakate Sukishiro

Yakate Sukichiro was one of the last surviving Descendants of the legendary shinobi, Sabaku no Gaara. With his bloodline in mind, and the high rank with which he came from, he was naturally treated like a prince. Of course, that as only in his first few years of life. After he became strong enough to walk, he was trained viciously, in the ways of the ninja. How severely...?

When a child is three, he plays with toy knives and plastic keys and stuff. When Yakate was three, he was playing with spinning kunai, and played darts with shuriken. And he actually enjoyed it as a plaything. Yes, he had a rather joyful childhood, and that joyful life grew him up, refined him to be a strong shinobi. Although his parents were never in sight; they were always too busy with something, always leaving him to be taken care of by someone else. And that someone, always trained Yakate in the arts of ninjutsu; under parent's supervision of course.

As he graduated out of the academy with aced grades, Yakate learned that he needed intelligence as well, intelligence was necessary for a ninja to be great. This was how he started on his way to be the shadow he was now. After skimming through some old reference books, he finally found out that he was the descendant of the fourth kazekage, one of the most feared ninja there was. And if he was correct...

Did he have sand mainpulation as well? Diid he have a massive beast inside him as well? And was he... hated as well? Did everyone, was everyone afraid of him, was that why they treated him like a king?...

With these misconceptions in mind, Yakate fled away from Sunagakure, unnoticed, thinking that everyone would be happy without him. He kept running, until he tripped on a rock in the desert. He decided to stay there for the rest of his life; it was an indefinite vow though. And over there, he trained on and on, trying to master his accursed sand powers. Just like he read about Gaara's past, he planned to destroy Sunagakure, make it inexistant, blend it with the desert...

... But one day after training he realized that he had to eat to survive. And he couldn't cook; neither was there any food or water in the desert. So he made daily, stealthy trips into Sunagakure to steal food, and resumed training. At his point, he was a genin-ranked ninja...

Months went by uneventfully, like this. Only thing that changed was the fact that he had become much... better than before. At one point in his random travelling, he discovered something that was another life-changer... Oni no Sabaku.

In the middle of the desert, stood a high, tall tower. It was actually made completely out of sand; and looked as if it was a mirage, fading out every second, and then reappearing solidly. His curiousity got the better of him, and he started circling the tower. Upon finding an entrance, he entered the tower. There was a huge spiralling starway within, which he painfully started going up from. Step by step, his heart seemed to beat faster, harder, as if something was about to be revealed to him...

Once he reached the altar at the top, he felt a very home-like sensation. The place was... calming. There was a gourd on a sand-like projection, that looked like a curved table. The room around it was shaped like a dome. Shrugging off his suspicion, he grabbed the gourd of sand.

Instantaneously, the whole tower began rumbling, and crumbled slowly. The sand made way to the ground beneath, and Yakate hurled downwards into the desert sand, with a pile of sand falling on top of him, sealing him within.

Except, he hadn't fallen in between to surfaces of sand. He had fallen under; under the desert's surface, sunk beneath. He found himself in a long, dusty hallway, with a heavy, cracked gourd in his arms. With nothing else to do, he followed the pathway...

Which led to a room. Or at least a door to a room. He couldn't push it open, it was stuck. Then, he noticed that it was made of sand. Typically, he used his chakra to move the door apart. Then he walked into the room, with the gourd...

Years later, Yakate returned to the village, completing his training. he was officially known as a genin, but had the power to surpass the fifteenth kazekage. And that he did; in a simple challenge to the kazekage, he murdered the man in a gruesome jutsu with sand. That made him, head of the village. Truly remarkable, since he was still recognized as a genin. This was when he was aged seventeen...

One year has passed since then. Nobody knows what or how he had become what he was, time had betrayed his appearance. He looked much different from what he used to be before, that childish young ninja. He looked deadlier, more demented, and yet, more... dead. Now, all he did, was rule over Sunagakure with his lzy hand, letting his subordinates do the work for him. All he did all day, was muse over things that no one knew... All they knew, was that he was no one to be messed with.
